I think this is a great, interesting piece. The three way split is a nice and easy to understand, but I fear the party will push for a dogmatist candidate at great expense. I do however question the economic angle the Democrats — whoever the candidate — will be able to have on Trump. I actually think he is weirdly strong there; wages up, unemployment down, stock exchange breaking records etc. I think if the Dem candidates uses this line of attack, I can easily see voters turning around and saying ‘here’s another rich elite Democrat who thinks they know my life better than me — leave me alone’
