Always welcome your comments, Chris. I have written before about the challenge the Democratic leadership have in reconciling their Constitutional duty with the political risks that impeachment might bring; indeed, you’ve even commented on those pieces!

I know they have a tough fight on their hands amongst the electorate and their Congressional colleagues, but that opposition — on its own — doesn’t make it either right or wrong. There is a NYT article that literally writes the articles of impeachment on Trump based heavily on those of Nixon and Clinton and that provides a solid start. Ultimately, whatever the level of opposition, surely there is a conceivable case to begin impeachment now?
